Redeemer Church was born out of the Engage Church Planting Network in 2014, when nine families committed their lives to establishing the church in Winterset. Over the last seven years, Redeemer has been blessed beyond our hopes and prayers as we have seen the lost saved, missionaries sent, ministries started, our community loved, and our body has grown. Although we are no longer an infant church, we pray we will stay steadfast in our calling to seek and save the lost and disciple those in our care.
Since Redeemer’s inception, we have been thankful to rent spaces to house our offices, Sunday morning worship services, and other events, but we have longed for a home of our own. With our church body growing and the recent COVID challenges, our need and desire for a more permanent location has intensified. In
February of 2021, God blessed us with an unbelievable location and funding to purchase the land at the intersection of 16th and Jefferson on the edge of Winterset.
We have developed a vision for the building that reflects the heart and mission of our church. This vision truly extends “Beyond the Building” to bless our community and to strengthen the faith of His people through the proclamation of the Gospel. Our hope is that this building will not only be used for worship on Sundays. Therefore, the building is intentionally designed with multipurpose space, counseling rooms, and classrooms that will allow us to share the love of Christ with the people of Redeemer and the people in our community all throughout the week.
