Andy Bittle is the Pastor of Counseling Ministries at Living Waters Fellowship. Andy graduated from Mt. Pleasant Community High School in 1983. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology in 1987 from Iowa Wesleyan College. Andy became a Certified Biblical Counselor (ACBC) in 2008 and in 2011 he received his Master’s Degree in Religion from Faith Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Ankeny, Iowa. He and his wife, Julie, have been at Living Waters Fellowship since 2011. Pastor Andy leads NewHeart Counseling which ministers to those within Living Waters Fellowship as well as the Des Moines area. Pastor Andy also helps lead Restore and Recover (A Christ Centered Recovery Group) and currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Refuge (A Bible Based/Gospel Centered Recovery Program) located in Winterset, Iowa.
Andy was saved as a young boy after God used traumatic events in his childhood to make clear his need for a Savior. Andy has two grown children. His son Chad lives in Recife, Brazil. His daughter Gwen is married and they have two boys, Felix and Oliver. Andy has over 20 years of prison counseling experience and is a Certified Biblical Counselor ( ACBC). He loves to meet with people and is a great listener. He is inspired to help people from God’s Word and see God save, grow and change people into Christ followers.
